My approach to therapy
Giggle and Grow employs a holistic and comprehensive approach to occupational therapy to achieve our goal of helping babies eat, sleep, breath and move better. My practice integrates a wide array of specialized techniques, including myofunctional therapy, oral motor training, manual therapy techniques, reflex integration and much more in order to address oral restriction, torticollis, plagiocephaly and developmental delays from a whole-body perspective.
Tongue Tie and ORal Restrictions
Oral restrictions such as tongue, lip and cheek ties can cause difficulty with feeding, sleep, tummy time and many other daily activities that infants engage in. At Giggle and Grow, we have extensive training in oral motor and myofunctional therapy to help optimize airway development, physical development and feeding for your little one. Whether or not your little one is going to have their ties released, I would love to help you along your journey to either optimize skills without release or help pre/post release to optimize skills.
Torticollis/plagiocephaly
Giggle and Grow takes a unique approach to treating torticollis and plagiocephaly with the recognition that they are both intertwined closely with oral function. As an occupational therapist and certified breastfeeding specialist, I treat these conditions with a whole-body approach to optimize movement patterns, head shape asymmetries, nervous system regulation, and feeding for the infant.
Delayed Developmental Milestones
Giggle and Grow can help your little one with achieving motor milestones such as tummy time, reaching, rolling, sitting, grasping, crawling, walking, running, and jumping through fun and easy-to-implement activities.
